Election 2010: the Results

The result of the 2010 General Election emphasises the general message of this site: that whoever you vote for the government gets in. 

During the election campaign we were regaled by Cameron and especially Clegg about how NEW everything was going to be if only we voted for them. Now we have both of them in a sordid coalition government and the only thing they promise is swingeing cuts to welfare, transport, health, benefits, housing and just about anything else they can think of. 

The leading politicians are vying with each other to suggest which vulnerable group of people to attack. The unemployed - they could get a job if they wanted one - let's cut Job Seekers Allowance. Let's take away the Bus Pass from 60 year olds. make that 65, hey they should be at work anyway. What about the, so called, sick. Most of them are pretending to be ill so that they can claim exorbitant state benefits and spend much of their time at their second home in Spain or Southern France! Its awful just thinking about it!!

There is something fascistic about all this ideological garbage attacking the poor and vulnerable when 850 Billion pounds have been given to some of the greediest and richest people in Britain.

NEW would have been to say:

 "the bankers have to pay back the money or we take the banks into public ownership for the benefit of the people with all profits going to them."

 Did you hear anybody saying anything NEW like that? No, neither did we. To be honest, who would really expect to when the whole history of 'Parliamentary Democracy' has been one of MPs at the trough.

So eager were the Liberal Democrats to get into 'positions' of pretend power that they have not even demanded some type of proportional representation  be implemented settling for promises of a referendum. A referendum which even if it ever comes off will have the media, business interests and the instititutions of government taking an anti-PR stance. This indicates that not only are the Lib Dem's thoroughly opportunist but thoroughly stupid as well.

And, we have to say this, all you fuckers who voted for them are not only stupid as well, in a turkeys voting for Xmas sort of way, but you are like a lead weight on the back of the 35% of folks who did not vote inasmuch as your vote helps to legitimise a system which is illegitimate.

If that sounds a little bitter, well yes it is, if only in the sense that you only get one chance at life and some of us anyway would actually like to live it without having to put up with all this type of shit!
